Application Process

Step 1

Download the Word version of the application and draft your responses to paste into the online application form.

Step 2

Secure a letter of support from your school principal or district administrator, download the template below.

Step 3

Submit your application materials through this online form.

Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on March 21, 2027

Eligibility

2027 Cohort Eligibility Requirements:

  • Current elementary teacher (grades K-5) in Texas

  • Science and/or engineering teaching responsibilities

  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time teaching experience 

  • Teach at least 50% time in the classroom 

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident  

  • Willingness to participate for four years  

  • Administrator support for participation 

  • Ability to attend an in-person professional learning summer institute each year, likely in mid-late July (July 11-14, 2027)
